Sports Specific Training

Are You Serious About Your Sport?

Do You Want Every Second of Your training to Count?

The concept of a periodised, sport specific training program is more scientific than throwing together a few circuit training sessions, some shuttle runs and a 3 day body building weights routine.

Attention must be paid to the dominant energy systems and Biomotor Abilities (see below for an explanation of Biomotor Abilities) of the sport, in conjunction with allowing time for technical and tactical training.

You cannot afford to waste a single second on any routine or program that will not develop your sporting ability.

If you are playing a team sport, running marathons, sprint cycling or a competitive martial artist; if you are a 'weekend warrior' or a competitive athlete; regardless of whether you want an off season 'fitness' program, or a full annual periodised plan, taking into consideration all biomotor abilities and nutrition; Todays Health and Fitness will develop a program specific to your needs, the dates of your competitions and the equipment available to you. This can be completed one to one, in a team setting or online with our state of the art software.

Pricing:
Pricing is based on the depth of program you desire and whether you will be conducting sessions face to face as an individual or as a team or if you require a combination of face to face and online program. Please call Dave on 0434 539 833 or email:
dave@todayshealthandfitness.com.au for an obligation free assessment of your needs.

Online programs:
Initial program: $295.00 this includes an 8 week program and a copy of the software.
ongoing programs: $195.00 for each subsequent 8 week program.

Biomotor Abilities:
When analysing a sport to determine the composition of a training program, a number of physical abilities are measured as being specific to the sport in question. A training program is then developed to enhance these abilites with the end goal of improving performance. These abilities are referred to as Biomotor Abilities. There are 5 Biomotor Abilities: Strength; Endurance; Speed; Coordination; and Flexibility. The relationship between these abilities will determine the componants of a training program.
